Up on the Plateau

 
This photo was taken on the way to Wilkins, our international runway that is in construction. As far as the eye can see, is white... Very Antarctic, and very amazing! On this trip we were taking a proving roller that is used to test the structural integrity of the ice runway by simulating the weight of a Hercules C-130 running over it.
